Symptoms were about the same, so back to the GP I went. This time I saw someone different. We talked about arthritis and she arranged for some blood tests, which all came back normal. She advised me to take anti-inflammatories, which I did, and to come back in another month. I started to notice that things were much worse in the cold, so I started to wear gloves whenever I left the house, even when it wasn’t that cold, or I was only going to be a minute. I still wasn’t taking it too seriously, especially as the gloves seemed to improve things. I was still struggling to come to terms with my grief. I was very emotional and everything reminded me of my lost friend. I also lost my job, plunging us into more serious money problems.
