When Helen came to talk to me about a new project she was thinking of – putting together a series of exercises and activities that would help someone understand the direction they should take their life – I knew that was exactly the kind of support I had been looking for. A practical thing I could do, to make sure I was making the best of every day. The exercises are easy to complete and help focus you on what is important to you, and why. I wouldn’t pretend for I moment that I have found all the answers to my situation; far from it.
As my disease progresses, and treatments change, it is necessary to constantly evaluate what I want to do, weighed up against what I can do. But at least I have a way of doing this now that doesn’t take months. Particularly helpful to me is examining the positive things I have done each day, and how I have spent my time. I also love the audio tracks, which are great to help relax when anxious or get some much needed sleep when tired.
